Authorizations
Overview
Authorizations in the Conduit Network represent what an Actor can do as a Party. An Actor can have many Authorizations to a single party and can have many Authorizations to many Parties.
As an example a son of an elderly parent may maintain an Authorization to manage the finances of that elderly parent. In this case the son (Actor) would have authorizations to his own Party (self) as well as to a Party owned by thier elderly parent. This Authorization may grant the son the ability to manage the CNDT account for the elderly parent.
This is just a single example to illustrate how Authorizations work, but Authorizations are a critical component of Computable Contracts in the Conduit Network. Authorizations enables use cases like stewarding accounts for chilren before they are of age, handing account control to executors of trust when a person dies, they can even be multi conditional and time bound.
